We conduct arthritis pool classes several times a week. They involve exercising every joint in the body, non-weight bearing and partial-weight bearing work, water assisted and water resisted activities, core body activities, functional exercises such as stepping and squatting, combined movements and balance work.
The classes are for a half hour but another fifteen minutes is allowed for people to focus on what benefits them the most. These classes may be claimed back through health insurance.
Arthritis Tasmania conduct exercise classes from the pool on Mon, Tues & Wed from 3pm to 4pm at present. All these bookings are made through Arthritis Tasmania.
